FYI: As a rule, the EG Creative Group of GMA-7 does not accept unsolicited concepts, especially from people we don’t know or those who are not part of GMA-7’s creative team.So whenever someone privately messages me wanting to pitch a concept (and there are many), I immediately let them know that we are not allowed to accept any story ideas from outsiders.This is to avoid any potential issues, for example: what if your concept happens to be similar to something we’re already working on? If we air a project from one of our writers, you might falsely accuse the network of stealing your idea. This is one of the reasons why we strictly do not accept unsolicited story concepts—to prevent any disputes.So if anyone claims that they submitted or pitched a concept, got rejected, and then suddenly saw something similar aired—whether it’s Maria Clara at Ibarra or any of our existing programs—please know that such claims are false, because we really do not accept unsolicited concepts.If you want to become a TV writer, you may apply through our Creative Director and present proof of your writing credentials (such as written materials, published, or produced works). FYI: as a rule, hindi po tumatanggap ang EG creative group ng Gma-7 ng unsolicited concepts lalo na sa mga hindi namin kilala, lalo at hindi part ng creative group ng GMA-7.
Kaya kapag may nagpa private message sa akin at gusto pong magbigay ng concept (at marami sila) ay sinasabi ko agad na hindi kami allowed tumanggap ng anumang konsepto mula sa tagalabas.
Para po maiwasan ang anumang problema, halimbawa; paano kung may katulad na konsepto ang konsepto ninyo kaya hindi pwede ang ibinigay mo? At maipalabas ang gawa ng isang writer namin, e di maari mong pagbintangan ang network na ninakawan ka? Ito ang isa sa dahilan kaya hindi po talaga kami maaring tumanggap ng mga unsolicited story concepts para maiwasan ang anumang issues.
Kaya sinuman pong mag claim na kesyo nag submit siya o nag pitch, di tinanggap tapos kesyo bigla na lang pinalabas at ninakawan siya, na kanya kunwari ang halimbawa ay, Maria Clara at Ibarra o anumang existing programs namin, ay isa po iyang huwad kasi we really do not accept unsolicited concepts.
