About the Blog
The Primer Diario blog was created on October 15, 2022, as a hub for Maria Clara at Ibarra news and archives. From the Spanish words "primer" and "diario", meaning first newspaper/diary when combined, Primer Diario is the first fan blog of its kind dedicated to the show.
What initially started as a private project for the creator's interests soon became a public blog, serving as an interpreter to their non-Filipino friends who may be interested in the show. The creator also hopes that the blog may help future non-Filipino fans of the series once the show gains further popularity globally.
One of the reasons for the blog's creation was a conflict between the author and a Wikipedia author concerning the Maria Clara at Ibarra page on the wiki. After their synopsis edit getting rejected multiple times, out of spite, the author decided to make Primer Diario.
Primer Diario is planned to be updated until the first season, or until the creator's school obligations prevent them from continuing so. The blog is currently looking for co-authors, so feel free to contact if you're interested.

Hello, I'm Katya! I'm a 20-something college student who is a huge fan of historical portal fantasy fiction, or what we famously call "isekai" among animanga fans. I'm not usually a fan of Philippine television series, but when MCI was announced, I knew I struck gold and finally found my new favorite TV series. As mentioned, this blog was created for my own interest - so in a way, I was overflowing with fangirlness that I had to contain it somewhere, which is this website.
I have had experience in blogging, writing, and website designing before, although those are stories for another day. Although my native language is Tagalog/Filipino, I am more comfortable with expressing myself in the English language. As such, I hope you don't feel pressured about contacting me! I can still speak Tagalog fairly well, but you can expect that the entire blog will be in English.
